What is the GOODGUT™ Bar?

It's a daily gut support snack bar — smooth dark chocolate on the outside, juicy flavoured jelly centre on the inside. Formulated with a blend of prebiotics, postbiotics, collagen protein, and gut-friendly fibre to nourish your digestive system in the most delicious way possible.

How many should I eat per day?

One bar per day is all you need. Consistency is key — making it part of your daily routine is where the real benefit comes in.

What's the difference between a prebiotic and a postbiotic?

Prebiotics are plant-based fibres that travel through your digestive system and feed the beneficial bacteria already living in your gut. Postbiotics are the bioactive compounds those bacteria produce — think of them as the end result of a well-fed gut. The GOODGUT™ Bar contains both, so you're fuelling your gut flora and supporting what they produce at the same time.

What is FloraSMART™?

FloraSMART™ is a heat-killed postbiotic strain — Lactobacillus casei 327 — clinically studied to support digestive regularity. Because it's heat-stable, it survives the bar-making process without losing its effectiveness, making it ideal for a food format like this one.

Why might I experience bloating or gas when I first start?

This is completely normal and a sign the fibre is doing its job. The prebiotic fibres in the bar — particularly inulin — aren't digested in the small intestine, so they travel to the large intestine where your gut bacteria ferment them. That fermentation can produce gas, especially when your gut is adjusting. Symptoms typically settle within a few days to weeks as your microbiome adapts.

Does it contain any sugar?

There is no added sugar in the GOODGUT™ Bar. It's sweetened with Thaumatin (in the jelly centre) and Steviol Glycosides (in the chocolate coating) — both natural sweeteners.

Is it suitable for people with dairy, gluten, or nut allergies?

Yes — the GOODGUT™ Bar is Dairy Free, Gluten Free, and Nut Free. It is Australian Made and Non-GMO. Please note: Soy may be present due to manufacturing.

Why does it contain Palm Kernel Oil?

Palm Kernel Oil is used in the chocolate coating to give it that smooth texture and clean melt. It's structurally similar to coconut oil — naturally rich in lauric acid, heat stable, and low in omega-6. It doesn't carry the inflammatory profile associated with typical seed oils like canola or soybean.

Is this a probiotic product?

Not exactly. The GOODGUT™ Bar contains a postbiotic (FloraSMART™), which is a heat-killed bacterial strain rather than a live one. It also contains prebiotics — plant fibres that feed your existing gut bacteria. Think of it as supporting the gut system you already have, rather than introducing new live cultures.
